a great gift!

Rodney and I have the House all decorated with the traditional Christmas Tree and a wreath on the door...Christmas Cards on the mantle etc...but there was one thing (very important thing) missing... A Nativity Scene!!! I told Rodney friday night that we needed to start looking for just the right one...but I wanted one before next Chistmas...well one of my bosses and his wife gave me a Christmas present yesterday and guess what it was, yep you're right, a "Willow Tree Nativity Scene" just perfect...and it is one that can be added to every year...I am so excited!!

Yes I think it is...this is the first day in a while that the sun has shown its beautiful face! I love it I'm alright with it being colder if at least the sun is out so I don't get all depressed!! Last night was yucky out...I got home from work and really need to go do some shopping...I don't like to go by myself but Rodney doesn't do shopping this time of year to many people everywhere for him :) So I ate supper and then got in the car and headed out! I got most of my shopping done and really enjoyed being there by myself...it brings back memories of when I did it all the time when I was in school...I looked at everything and never thought about a thing...I got everything I went after and the best part was at everyplace I went I got the Perfect parking spot :) It might have been raining but it wasn't that bad...and the stores really weren't that crowded...it was better than waiting for the weekend!

I better watch out he is coming after me!

I took my granddad to the mall the other day to buy
some new shoes. We
decided to grab a bite at the food court. I noticed
he was watching a
teenager sitting next to him. The teenager had spiked
hair in all
different colors: green, red, orange, and blue. My
granddad kept staring at
him. The teenager would look and find him staring
every time.

When the teenager had enough, he sarcastically asked,
"What's the
matter old man, never done anything wild in your
life?" Knowing my Granddad, I
quickly swallowed my food so that I would not choke
on his response;
knowing he would have a good one. And in classic
style he did not bat an
eye in his response. "Got drunk once and screwed a
peacock. I was
just wondering if you were my son."

just a catch up...

Okay I have not been in the blogging mood lately and I promised myself that if I started blogging I would keep it and I do really enjoy it...but I feel like I have just been to busy...

Alot has happened so I will try to fill you in without boring you to death :)

My nanny is home - she was in the nursing home getting therapy from when she shattered her shoulder...I haven't went and visited since she has been home (I feel BAD - so I have to do that this weekend - no excuses!)

My Dad is actaully being appreicated at his job...I'm proud of him...and I really think he likes his new position...he is doing the same thing just at a high level...

Rodney and I are struggling with his dad and his wife...but I have came to relize today on the way to work that if his dad thinks it can work out and he will be happy with it then I shouldn't continue to down the marriage...it is very hard for me but I will try...I'm not saying that I will be over joyed to see her but I will manage and be nice as possible...for his dad sake

Next, I did blog about Guinee's death and a little more about that is it was very hard for me to watch Rodney dig the first hole in our own yard to bury a pet...I first wanted to take it to mom and dad's b/c that is where everything else it...but the more I thought about it I wanted him home...Rodney got Guinee for me 1 month after we were married and we have been married for almost 5 years so he was getting pretty old...but I do know I will never have another one...anything else I get I want them to have a long life...

Yesterday my cat, Sassy, that I left at home when Rod and I got married had to be put to sleep - this was good because she had cancer and it was getting worst...but it still makes me sad...

Now on a lighter note...a deer hit my car...yes another accident...if you remember I hit the car with my bike :( ran into a mailbox :( and now this...and all I know is I am so glad to live right next to a great body shop!!! If you need some body work talk to me I'll give you the - I keep it on speed dial : )

MeRRy CHRISTmas!

Here is my Guinee...This is sad...I woke up this morning and went in to feed him right before I left for work and he is always right there chewing on the cage wanting his food...well this morning I was just talking away to him and he didn't move...he must have died during the night or early morning...he was sweet even thought we would threaten to take him to the dentist to have his front teeth removed so he couldn't bite the cage...we still loved him and cleo did too(now he is going to ge lonely...) anyway I will miss walking by and having Guinee weeeeekkkkk at me for a carrot or just food in general :)....

Can you believe that people can come into a home to take care of the elderly and steal from them...or better yet ask them for a loan? (I think it was with hopes they would forget about it...)

How about smoke every 15 minutes or on the cellphone all the time...I mean what if the person they were caring for tried to get up and fell while they were outside smoking...do these people not think??? If that was me I would feel terrible, but I wouldn't be out there in the first place...uuuuuuuurrrrrr

HOW HARD IS IT TO GET GOOD PEOPLE TO STAY W/ THE ELDERLY...very hard!!!!
In fact, around here I think it isn't possible!

God had an Angel with me this Morning!

I followed a lumber truck from my house all the way into GF and when I got here something just outta the blue made me think...you have that land deed that has been in your car for 2 months that you need to drop off...so I pulled in at the shopping center and drove thru the parking lot - no mailbox - so I pulled right back out...I turn the couner and a brand new blue mustang and dodge truck and that lumber truck has all hit each other. IF I would have just kept going i would have been right THERE!

Nanny

I wanted to get you all caught up because I got behind over this week...

Last week my Nanny (in the pic above) fell out in the garden and shattered the ball in her shoulder...bad deal! She had surgery on Monday and now has screaws and a plate to hold it together...I had plans to stay at the hospital on Monday night and that changed real quick when I woke up Monday and had to dash to the Bathroom to vomit...and I thought I was just nervous, so I went ahead and got ready and headed to work...well I guess the motion of the car wasn't the best idea and I ended up coming back home were I stayed all day on the couch only to get up to have to rush to the bathroom again and again...SO I was no help at all...Tuesday I get up and feel a little better but still don't want to try to go to work so I stay at home...it was relaxing...Tuesday night we all go and visit, she is doing better. But now it is time for the recovery process so please keep her and all the family in your prayers...

Halloween 2007

Well Halloween is over :(

I love to get dressed up and scare all the kids...and that is exactly what I did...It hurt my feeling alittle bit because I really did scare them. Some of the little guys would not even come in the house and the ones that did were not happy!

Next year I am thinking I'll go another route and try to look really sweet! I still have a bunch of candy left over and If I don't get it out of the house I will eat it all!!!!
